SRINAGAR, Jan 28: Commissioner/Secretary, PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Dr. Pawan Kotwal today chaired a divisional level officers meeting and reviewed the stock and supply position in the Valley.
Reviewing the stock position, the Commissioner/Secretary was informed that as many as 5554 metric tons of rice, 13183 metric tons of wheat and 660 metric tons of sugar is available in godowns of CA&PD.
The Commissioner/ Secretary also took stock of various matters relating to post flood rehabilitation, supply of six month free ration and demolition of illegal encroachments with the Deputy Commissioners of the Valley.
He directed the Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation to raise up the dewatering pumps in Srinagar city and also reviewed other developmental projects.
It was given out that 650 works have been completed in flood affected areas in district Anantnag while 104 works each in Shopian and Budgam districts and 295 in Kupwara district.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Engineers of various wings, Director Health Services Kashmir, Director Horticulture Kashmir, Joint Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Conservator of Forests, Secretary LAWDA, Sub Divisional Magistrate Srinagar and other officers of district administration.
