Furnish all information to NDMA by Jan 31: Governor

JAMMU, Jan 28: Meeting the deadline of January 24 fixed by the Governor, N.N. Vohra, disbursement of ex-gratia relief was completed  in respect of 1,62,125 cases of structures damaged in the Kashmir floods.
A Raj Bhavan Spokesperson recalled that the deadline of January 24, was fixed by the Governor during the Flood review meeting taken by him at Srinagar  on January 17.  The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, has reported that the disbursement of ex-gratia relief in respect of 162,125 flood damaged structures has been completed and Rs. 156.25 crore  has been disbursed. Of  this amount Rs 73.62 crore has been disbursed for 9816 fully damaged pucca houses;  Rs. 1.80 crore for 1028 fully damaged kutcha houses; Rs. 39.68 crore for 31,499 severely damaged pacca houses;  Rs. 27 lakh for 750 kutcha houses; Rs 35.87 crore for 94,401 Partially damaged pacca houses and Rs 1.70 crore for 5330 kutcha houses. Further, Rs.79.32 lakh has been disbursed for 2644 damaged huts and Rs. 2.49 crore for 16,657 cowsheds.
Giving district wise details of the disbursement of relief, the Spokesperson informed that disbursement for the fully damaged category has been made for 1571 pacca and 47 kutcha houses in Pulwama district; 232 pacca and 106 kutcha houses in Kulgam district; 1293 pacca and 232 kutcha houses in Anantnag district; 857 pacca and 24 kutcha in Budgam district; 5110 pacca and 240 kutcha in Srinagar district; and 404 pacca and 219 kutcha houses in Bandipora district.
The Governor has been informed that for severely damaged houses,  disbursement has been made for 647 pacca houses and 79 kutcha houses in Kulgam district; 2004 pacca and 21 kutcha houses in Pulwama district; 3825 pacca and 246 kutcha houses in Anantnag district; 3425 pacca and 18 kutcha houses in Budgam district; 18850 pacca and  89 kutcha houses in Srinagar district;  and for 1333 pacca and 145 kutcha houses in Bandipora district.
Disbursement for partially damaged houses has been made for 2132 pacca and 202 kutcha houses in Kulgam district; 9038 pacca and 18 kutcha houses in Pulwama district; 8249 pacca and 652 kutcha houses in Anantnag district; 8667 pacca and 39 kutcha houses in Budgam district; 55294 pacca and 3103 kutcha houses in Srinagar district; and for 3931 pacca and 309 kutcha houses in Bandipora district.
The Governor has also ordered that there should be no delay in the disbursement of relief under PMNRF and that all missing information should be supplied to NDMA by January 31, 2015. Consequently, 16 digit Bank Account Numbers have been furnished to the NDMA in respect of 9965 cases out of the total of 10847 cases.
A sum of Rs. 174,64,59,500 has been disbursed as ex-gratia relief (including disbursement of funds received from PM’s and CM’s Relief Fund); of which Rs. 3.51 crores has been disbursed as ex-gratia relief to the NoK’s of the deceased persons; Rs. 156,25,77,500 as ex-gratia relief for the damaged houses and Rs. 14,87,82,000 to the eligible persons/families towards payment of  rent.
