KISHTWAR, Aug 28: Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SSDS) District Unit Kishtwar held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Hans Raj Bhutyal and condemned the incident, which took place on August 22 at holy shrine of Mata Machail on the arrival of holy mace.
The representatives of SSDS, who also attended the meeting, requested Thakur Kulbir Singh, Founder of Machail Mata yatra to reconsider his decision of discontinuance of taking holy mace from the Temple of Chinote Bhaderwah to Chandi Meta Temple at Machail Paddar and back to Chinote Bhaderwah.
While speaking, Bhutyal said that devotees of Chandi Mata have faith in the honesty and dedication of Thakur Kulbir Singh towards the community. “It has been observed that some vested interests are hell bent upon to divide society on regional basis, which is highly condemnable and intolerable”, he added.
“The number of devotees is increasing every year and this year has crossed over two lakhs mark. It is observed that it is beyond the capacity of the organizing committee to manage the affairs of the yatra and their proper arrangements like stay and other facilities”, he added.
He urged the Government to take up the management of the yatra and constitute an independent Shrine Board keeping in view the requirements and infrastructure for the devotees.
