JAMMU, Aug 2: Emphas-izing over the dire need and demand of establishing an engineering and para medical professional colleges in Poonch, the former MLC Dr Shehnaz Ganai urged upon the Governor’s Administration to look into this genuine requirement for the brighter future of new generation.
Addressing public gathering in Poonch today she said that the absence of these professional colleges in this region is badly effecting the new generations as they are in need of such type of job oriented institutions. She appealed the Governor Satya Pal Malik to take up the matter with the concerned agencies and send a good message among the people of Poonch as his administration is playing a positive role for the upliftment of education sector. Dr Ganai said that the good governance always tries to pave ways for development and endeavours to eradicate un-employment by opening new doors.
Terming the decision of her resignation from NC as hard one she told that “I disassociate myself from NC with a heavy heart for the development of my people. It would be a happy moment for me if I had been given a chance to contest Assembly election on the mandate of such a party whose foundations in the area was laid down by her late father, but party high command did not take the sacrifice of my late father into consideration while deciding for the party mandate from Haveli constituency. So for the welfare of my people I had to take this decision as the only way left for me was to leave the party and I did that keeping in view my people,” she maintained.
Putting all speculations and rumours to rest former MLC told that it is the public who have to decide our future course of action and the decision in this regard shall be taken only after the consensus of our people. She told her supporters and workers that keep yourself ready for the upcoming state elections as we are going to contest these elections with full swing to serve our area and the people, she added.
