JAMMU, Apr 26: Secretary of the J&K Pahari Advisory Board, Sapna Kotwal, today issued a calendar of events for all Pahari hostels across Jammu and Kashmir under the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
In an official communication to hostel superintendents, she directed them to organise awareness and engagement activities during the campaign period.
These include symposiums, debates, role-play exercises, street plays, essay writing competitions and sports events.
The communication addressed to the hostel superintendents said the aim of these programmes is to guide students towards positive activities and create awareness against drug abuse.
The Secretary also asked hostel administrations to coordinate with the concerned district administrations, Deputy Commissioners and District Social Welfare Officers to ensure wider reach of the campaign in nearby communities.
All hostel wardens have also been directed to submit weekly action taken reports for monitoring the implementation of the programme.
She said the Board is committed to creating a healthy, disciplined and drug-free environment for youth across Jammu and Kashmir.
