Chandan FC wins girls U-16 exhibition football match

SAMBA, Apr 26: A football exhibition match for girls under the age of 16 was organized at Thalora Mandi in Samba to promote sports and spread awareness under the ongoing Drug-Free Jammu & Kashmir campaign.
The match was held between Param Football Club, Hiranagar and Chandan Football Club, Mandi Thalora and witnessed an exciting and closely contested game. Both teams played strongly in the first half, ending with a 1-1 draw. In the second half, Chandan Football Club initially took the lead, but Param Football Club quickly equalised. In the closing moments, a decisive goal from the Chandan team sealed the match, leading to a 3-2 victory and the championship trophy for Chandan Football Club.
Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan attended the event as the chief guest. She encouraged the young players to continue participating in sports and highlighted the importance of fitness and discipline in life. She also administered an oath to all participants to stay away from drugs as part of the Drug-Free Jammu & Kashmir initiative. The DC felicitated both winning and runner-up teams with trophies and appreciated their performance.
The event also saw the presence of Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Ajay Bharti, former Sarpanch Varinder Singh Lucky, Football Coach Aman Sambyal, and several local dignitaries including Subhash Singh, Om Singh, Jatinder Singh, Shivinder Singh, Shivdeep Singh, Abhinav Singh, Vishaldev Singh and many youths from the area.
