AKHNOOR, Dec 26: State Bank of India, Akhnoor donated a heavy-duty photocopier to Facilitation Centre inaugurated today in the premises of Sub Divisional Magistrate, here during a function.
The Facilitation Centre was inaugurated jointly by SDM, Akhnoor, NS Jamwal and Deputy General Manager (DGM), SBI, AK Jain, to render immense help to the people of the area. The Centre was inaugurated under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme.
The function was attended by Government functionaries and local populace of the area. AGM, SBI, PK Abrol was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, DGM, SBI, AK Jain, said that the Bank has already donated 100 water purifiers in different districts of the State as part of its CSR activities. The Jammu module is also planning to donate four ambulances to help the needy, he added.
NS Jamwal, during his address, laid stress on optimum use of resources and exhorted other corporates to come up with similar gesture for welfare of masses.
Branch manager, SBI Akhnoor, BS Sudan, expressed gratitude to SDM Akhnoor on behalf of SBI.
