RS PURA, Jan 23: General Secretary of All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference and Sarpanch of Gandli Panchayat in RS Pura, Gurdeep Singh Saini today started the work of laying pipeline under the second phase, aiming to provide clean drinking water to every household under the Central Government’s prestigious scheme ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’.
This development work will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakhs. Notably, the work of Tubewell worth Rs 3 crore has been completed and the 2nd phase work under the central sponsored scheme was started today.
Naib Sarpanch Pyare Lal, Panch Pawan Singh, Panch Satya Devi and other representatives of Panchayat were present during the event.
The Sarpanch said that under the first phase, the work of installing Tube-well has been completed and under the second phase, the work of laying pipeline has started at a cost of about Rs 60 lakh so that people of the area can get clean drinking water.
He said that even before this, many projects have been started in the Panchayat under Government schemes and it will be his endeavour that in the coming days also many projects have been started. He thanked the Modi Government at the Centre and said that the benefits of the schemes are being extended to the people up to the Panchayat level.
Chairman Darshan Singh, Harjinder Singh, former Chairman Amar Singh Charak, Somnath and officers of Jal Shakti Department were present during the event.
