RWA highlights grievances

JAMMU, Feb 6: Roopnagar Welfare Association (RWA) today highlighted various development related issues which needs to be addressed on priority in RoopNagar JDA Housing Colony.
Addressing a press conference at Sector-3 Park on Aap Shambu Road, Uttam Deep Sharma (chairman of the Association) said that the Corporator of Ward Number 62 does not show any interest in development work of upper Roop Nagar area from Sector 1 to 9 for the reasons best known to her.
He said that many works including cleaning of lanes & drains on regular basis, repair of drains & culverts, proper installation and repair of street lights, cleaning & maintenance of parks, regular garbage collection in the area need immediate attention of the concerned executing authorities. Sharma said no single tender of these works has been executed in last three years.
However, he informed that VC JDA has agreed for repair of Aap Shambu Road on priority basis in view of the forthcoming Mahashivratri Festival. Others present on the occasion were K K Handa, Ashok Gupta, Sanjeev Bakshi, P N Raina, Mohan Singh Jasrotia, Shanti Saroop and J L Koul.
