SHIMLA, June 7:
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh has announced financial assistance of Rs five lakhs each to the family members of martyrs from the State, who lost their lives in a terror attack at Manipur this week.
He said the State Government would extend all possible help to family members of all the seven Army men who were killed in the attack. Mr Singh said these martyrs were national heroes as they had sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Himachal Pradesh had always been contributing significantly towards the armed forces of the country. People of the State were proud of its brave soldiers, who had always shown exemplary courage in various operations to guard the frontiers of the Nation said.
Mr Singh said the country would always remain indebted to them for their supreme sacrifices, he added. The Chief Minister also directed the concerned district administration to render all possible help to the family members of the martyrs, as and when required. (UNI)
