Residents demand closing of wine shop

JAMMU, Oct 7: Residents of Village Kah Pohta of Block Dansal in Jammu district have demanded closing the wine shop in their area.
The villagers today came on roads demanding closing of wine shop in their village. They alleged that there are about four schools and two temples in 100 metre vicinity of the wine shop.
The drunkards have spoiled the peaceful atmosphere of the village, as they use to abuse the ladies and children passing thorough the road, they said, adding that the drunkards have vitiated the atmosphere so much that people even could not go to fetch water from the well, which is close to wine shop.
They demanded the concerned authorities to seek into the matter and take immediate steps to close the wine shop, which has become headache for the villagers, particularly ladies and children.
