JAMMU, May 22: Jammu and Kashmir Forest Corporation Employees Forum (JKFCEF) have urged the Government to release their last three months salaries on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr so that the employees of Muslim community can celebrate the festival with their families joyfully.
In a statement spokesperson of the Forum, Suresh Sharma while highlighting the problems of SFC employees criticized the Government for not paying them the salaries for last three months with the result many poor employees are at the verge of starvation. He said on one hand they have been perturbed with the spread of dread COVID and lockdown and on the other hand the authorities have not paid their salaries to them for last three months.
He expressed his dismay over the failure of Government in taking a decision on the fate of SFC and demanded no such step of the Government will be acceptable which will be inimical to the interests of the SFC employees. He also appealed the Lt Governor, G C Murmu to issue immediate instructions to the authorities to release the salaries of SFC employees on the eve of holy festival of Muslims.
