Hideout busted in Magistrate’s shop

SRINAGAR, May 22: Security forces today busted a militant hideout in a Magistrate’s shop in Pulwama district of South Kashmir. A case has been registered and he will be arrested tomorrow.
A police official said that security forces busted an old hideout of militants beneath the shop of Nazir Ahmad Wani at village Below in Rajpora area of Pulwama district. Nazir is a Magistrate and posted as Naib Tehsildar in Pulwama.
Police said that a case has been registered and Wani will be arrested tomorrow.
Police today arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Ansar Gazwat Ul Hind and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen from Tral and Awantipora in South Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Police said that Awantipora Police arrested two OGWs of Ansar Gazwat Ul Hind and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen from Tral and Awantipora areas who were involved in providing shelter, support, logistics and passing sensitive information to the militants of AuGH and HM.
The arrested have been identified as Sayar Ahmad Shah from Tral and Tanseem alias Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh from Awantipora. “Incriminating material has been recovered from both the arrested persons”, police said.
A case (FIR number 46/2020 and 68/2020) was registered against them in Police Station Tral and Police Station Awantipora respectively.
In the meantime, militants fired rifle grenade followed by firing on joint naka party of CRPF and police at Karnabal Kakapora in Pulwama district. However, there was no damage.
