JAMMU, Dec 21: Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Khel Teachers Association staged a protest against the LG administration for freezing of the posts at Press Club Jammu, here today.
The protest was organised under the leadership of Association president, Dheeraj Salaria, wherein protestors announced that they will hold a mega protest against the adamant attitude of the Government towards Rehbar-e-Khel teachers.
“Although, the LG administration has recently proposed to de-freeze the posts which were earlier freezed for ReK and in this regard, the BJP framed a committee, headed by former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta but nothing has been done so far,” they said while staging protest.
The former LG Murmu had framed a committee to find a way to ease the sufferings of ReK teachers to for reducing probation period from 7 years to 5 years at par with Rehber-e-Taleem and assured us for enhancement of the salary but unfortunately, the present LG administration has freezed all the posts and also announced that vacant posts send to recruitment agencies for its fulfilment.
They said that the ReK teachers perform their duties with full zeal and enthusiasm in the department but the present Government has failed to do justice with us.
They demanded that the Govt immediately cancel the GAD order over freezing of the posts and reduce the probation period from seven years to five years, otherwise they would stage protests till their demands were not addressed.
