Rape victim’s family holds protest, alleges pressure tactics

JAMMU, Nov 18: Family members of seven years old slum girl, who was allegedly raped by a domestic helper, today staged protest alleging pressure tactics from some locals.
A large number of slum dwellers and rag pickers assembled on the main Salani bridge and blocked the vehicular traffic.
Amid slogans protestors said that after the rape of their seven years old girl some locals are putting pressure tactics forcing them to diffuse the matter. The protestors were demanding strict action against the accused.
Later SHO Rajouri police station Yashpal Jamwal rushed to the spot and pacified the protest by assuring them that police will deal into the matter seriously and the accused will be dealt as per the law.
