PSA slapped on HuM militant

KISHTWAR, May 4: District Magistrate (DM) Angrez Singh Rana slapped Public Safety Act (PSA) on militant of Harkatul Mujahideen (HuM) outfit.
As per official spokesman, DM today slapped Public Safety Act on Mohammad Abdullah Gujjar alias Dullah alias Sher Khan, son of Haji Nabi Baksh of village Sigdi Bhata tehsil Mughalmaidan district Kishtwar.
SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary on May 2 this year submitted the dossier in respect of Mohammad Abdullah Gujjar for issuance of detention order under the provision of J&K Public Safety Act 1978 to DM Kishtwar.
Mohammad Abdullah Gujjar remained active militant of Harkatul Mujahideen (HuM) organization from 2001 and remained involved in more than 9 FIRs registered in Chatroo and Kishtwar Police Stations.
The accused used to motivate local youth and impart trainings in handling the arms and ammunition so as to recruit them in the HuM organization. He was put in jail for the maximum period and reportedly bailed out by the Court of Principal District Session Judge Kishtwar April 28 this year.
Apprehending that the accused will again start recruiting the raw hand and innocent youths and provide them arms and ammunition to revive the militancy in the district and again wage war against the government establish under law and will pose a threat to the sovereignty and security of the State, DM slapped PSA on Mohammad Abdullah Gujjar.
Meanwhile, the accused has been detained & lodged in Central Jail by Kishtwar Police.
