JAMMU, May 4: An emergency meeting of central body of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of JKTF State general secretary Ganesh Khajuria for discussing various issues, like pay anomalies of Masters and Clerks, salaries of SSA and RMSA teachers.
While addressing the meeting, Ganesh Khajuria lambasted the State Government for its alleged wrong policies and said that the teachers were the worst sufferers in the present regime. “Teachers are made the victims for their no fault. Due to the pending salaries of the teachers working under SSA and RMSA for the couple of the months, they are at the verge of starvation,” Ganesh Khajuria said and warned an indefinite protest if the salaries under SSA and RMSA are not streamlined.
Ganesh Khajuria appealed all the teachers to remain united under the banner of JKTF for launching a struggle to get their grievances resolved and force the Government to concede to their genuine demands, particularly on streamlining of SSA and RMSA salaries.
Others, who attended the meeting, included Gopal Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Mohd Iqbal, Darshan Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Sushil Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Narinder Singh Chib, Rajesh Singh, Joginder Singh, Roop Lal, Sbash Sharma , Sham Badyal, Virender Sharma, P O Singh, Shanti Saroop, Gurdeep Slathia, Bua Ditta, Ramesh Khajuria, Rangeel Singh, Kailash Sharma, Bharat Bhushan, Ravmder Maini, Shehnaz, Qayoom, Parveen Sharma. Rohit Gupta, Shiv Dutta, Neeraj Choudharv, Subash Chander, Ramandeep Sharma, Dalip Dingra, Sachin Amla and Gurdev Singh.
