Police Training Course for Jr Scale KAS Probationers commences

UDHAMPUR, Sept 14: One week Police Training course for Junior Scale KAS probationer officers’ batch 2015 commenced today here at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy.
Total 59 officers belonging to Junior Scale KAS of 2015 from IMPA Jammu and IMPA Kashmir have been nominated for the course.
The basic objective of the course is to expose the KAS officers to the working of police and also to synergise different departments for the better management in the field during critical law and order situations as well as association of ethos and traditions.
The course was inaugurated by Dr Ashok Bhan, DGP (Retd) in an impressive function held at Radhavinod Raju Auditorium of Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur in presences of Director, Rajesh Kumar, IGP, Assistant Directors, Shiv Kumar Sharma, SSP, Ravinder Kumar Rao, DDP, RC Kotwal, SP, Kamal Sharma, CPO and officers of the Academy.
Dr Ashok Bhan, DGP (Retd) in his inaugural address at the outset introduced to the young officers to the Chetwode adage, which he noticed in the IMA Academy when he was studying. The Chetwode adage he quoted was “The safety, honour and welfare of your country come first always and every time. The honour welfare and comfort of the men you command come next. Your own ease, comfort and safety come last, always and everytime.”
He stressed upon the young trainee officers to emulate it, as he did, during the service. He also stressed upon the trainee officers to interpret the rules in a manner that they lawfully benefit the genuine and deserving.
He impressed upon the officers to shed the egos as this will benefit the State and public at large and advised them to always seek the inspiration from their ideal.
The inauguration was followed by a lecture from Ajit Kumar Sahu, CEO, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra, on the topic of “e-Governance”.
In the post lunch session, Shantmanu, Chief Electoral officer, delivered a lecture on Election arrangements –coordination between different Government Departments while Deputy Commandant, BSF, Gurdeep Sandhu delivered a lecture on Explosives.
