TANGMARG, Dec 19: National Conference has  said the PDP-BJP Government’s anti-people policies, sell-out and total surrender to the BJP had taken Kashmir back to an atmosphere of turmoil, economic ruination and instability.
Addressing an impressive party convention at Kunzer in Tangmarg, NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani said the repressive and ruthless behaviour of the Mehbooba Mufti Government had alienated the people and widened the already deep trust deficit in the Valley.
“Since its very first day in power, the PDP-BJP Alliance has proven itself to be a destructive and negative force of disruption. This Government has taken Kashmir back by a decade and all previous, hard-earned dividends of peace have been wasted. The level of alienation and resentment among the people in general and the youth in particular is alarming. While the Chief Minister seems to be busy with contrarian press statements and photo-opportunities, her Government is responsible for the rapidly deteriorating situation in Kashmir”, Wani said.
Party Provincial secretary  Showkat Ahmed Mir lashed out at the administration for brazenly neglecting the people of Tangmarg and said there was an acute essential services, ration and power crisis in Tangmarg and repeated pleas had fallen on deaf ears as the people continued to suffer. “Our ration shops are without ration. The power crisis in Tangmarg is shocking and unprecedented. Vital distribution network has been neglected and there are areas which have to go without electricity for days at end. It seems like the Government has an intentional, well-defined agenda to persecute the people of Tangmarg as every public grievance has been ignored since the past three years”,  Mir said.
The party convention was also attended by YNC Provincial president Salman Ali Sagar, NC leader Shabir Ahmed Mir,  YNC Baramulla District president  Muneer Ahmed  and other party functionaries,
Salman asked youth to involve themselves in the party’s outreach initiative and come forward with positivity and constructive ideas to take the State out of the current political morass.
