Balbir takes stock of Corporation’s work in Budgam, Anantnag districts

JAMMU, Dec 19: Balbir Ram Rattan, Vice Chairperson, Jammu and Kashmir SCs, STs & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, held a brief meeting with District Managers of Budgam and Anantnag districts at Corporation Head Office, here today.
Shabir Ahmad Bhat, District Manager, Anantnag and Accountant, Kashmir Division, Babar Bashir Wani, briefed the VC about various issues, including, progress made under Direct Financing Scheme, recovery status of district Budgam.
Balbir Ram Rattan was informed that District Office Budgam has received 18 cases pertaining to various schemes to be financed through NMDFC, NBCFDC, NSTFDC, NSKFDC and NHFDC amounting to Rs.33 lakh adding that seven files have been submitted to Head Office for disbursement & remaining cases are in the pipeline of processing, which need to be expedited for disbursal in near future.
District Manager, Budgam, also apprised the Vice Chairperson that recovery in district Budgam has doubled in the last three months with the strenuous efforts made by the district staff.
The District Manager, Anantnag, Syed Zubair Andrabi, apprised Balbir Ram Rattan about the progress made in district Anantnag in the recent past and gave a categorical assurance that the application forms received from the loan aspirants of Target Groups will be submitted to the Head Office in the shortest time.
Balbir Ram assured both the district managers of timely disbursement of the cases submitted to the Head Office. He also stressed upon them to motivate the youth to take the full benefits being offered by the SCs, STs & BCs Development Corporation Limited, which will relieve the pressure on the Government to provide the jobs to the unemployed males and females in the State. ‘Self employment will, in turn, enthuse the youth with confidence to sustain the challenges in life’, the VC concluded.
