Pathania for formulating comprehensive policy for CP workers

Excelsior Correspondent
UDHAMPUR, Dec 6: While interacting and expressing solidarity with striking CP workers here at Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania, spokesperson of J&K BJP and former MLA, called upon UT administration for early resolution of the genuine demands of these striking workers.
Pathania said that as per settled law “Right to Regularization” and “Right to wages” has been termed as fundamental rights but the successive State Governments have remained insensitive to this rightful and humanitarian issue.
He recalled that during his stint as legislator, he has raised this issue vociferously on the floor of the house but nothing concrete was done by Government for regularization of these workers despite assurance from the Government.
Pathania said that as per “Minimum Wages Act”, penalty is imposed upon any individual or organization that infringes upon “Minimum Wages Act” but in case of these CP workers/ DRWs/and contractual workers, J&K UT itself is violating the law passed by Indian Parliament, while it is providing remuneration which is 10 times lesser than prescribed minimum wages. Further, these workers are not put on a regular scale despite serving for decades together.
Later addressing party cadres and workers at Town Hall Ramnagar, Pathania called upon cadre to emphasize and publicize various public friendly schemes launched by the Modi Government.
