JAMMU, Oct 14: Parla Dudu Panchayat outplayed Pachound II Panchayat in a well contest final match by 2-1 sets and lifted the Volleyball event title trophy organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports, which concluded at Government High school, Dudu, Kirchi.
In Kabaddi event, Dudu Panchayat trounced Pachound II Panchayat by just two points and the score remained 28-26.
In Wrestling event, Rakesh Kumar of Panchayat Pochound II defeated Rakesh Kumar of Dudu Panchayat in 52-57 kg weight category, whereas, Suresh Kumar of Pochound II Panchayat thrashed Surinder Kumar of Parla Dudu Panchayat in 57-65 kg category.
On the concluding day today, Suram Chand, Zonal Education Officer, Dudu, was the chief guest, who distributed prizes amongst the winners and runner-up teams.
While speaking, Suram Chand congratulated the winners and the runner-up teams. He stressed upon the students to participate in sports activities for overall development of their body.
The matches were officiated by Pawan Kumar, Jaswinder Singh, Raj Kumar and Sudesh Kumar.
Among others present were Hans Raj, Girdhari Lal, Head Master, Government High School, Dudu, staff members, students, citizens and sports lovers.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of Mohinder Singh, Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Dudu.
