SONOORA (BEERWA), Oct 14: Chian XI registered 63 runs victory over Sonoora Students XI and claimed the title trophy of the two months T-20 Cricket league tournament.
On the concluding day today, Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir, was the chief guest, who while speaking said that sports activities imbibe self- discipline among players and sports lovers.
He said that there is dire need of popularising sports culture among youth so that the future of the State becomes strong and a healthy generation comes up to face challenges both in academics and extracurricular field.
Impressing upon youth to take part in sports activities and also take benefit of the schemes launched by Centre and State Governments, Mir said that the sports alone build the physique as well mental nourishment of an individual.
Referring the demands of the players regarding upgradation of playing field of the area, he said that team of sports council are being sent here to take a view for its development.
Later, Agriculture Minister distributed trophies among the winner up and runner up teams and also distributed trophies of man of the match and man of series.
