Panthers stand for justice to Jammu with dignity, honour: Harsh

KATHUA, Apr 29 :  Seeking CBI inquiry in Rassana murder case, hundreds of Panthers activists led by Harsh Dev Singh, chairman JKNPP, Balwant Singh Mankotia State president JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal State president, Young Panthers took out a huge ‘motor cycle rally’ comprising of over 200 two wheelers here, today.
Receiving a massive public response, the bike rally which started from Kali Bari passed through Kathua city and several villages where the leaders addressed about a dozen public meetings en route including Minekhar Mandi, Chambe Da Bagh, Khokhyal, Nagri Parol, Muthi Jagir, Bikhwa, Jakh Barh, Badala and Changrah.
Accusing the dirty combine of BJP-PDP for vitiating peace and causing turmoil in Jammu region and Kathua district in particular, Harsh Dev Singh said that the sinister objective of the coalition was to divide the society on communal lines and polarize the people to serve their political interests.
Criticising the statement of Dy. CM, Nirmal Singh expressing satisfaction with Crime Branch probe in Rassana case, Singh said that the henpecked deputy of Mehbooba had exhibited a worst toadyism by dis-associating himself from CBI demand and dubbing the protesters as pro offenders. “The Saffron brigade had shown greatest disregard for the public sentiment in Kathua who had given it a massive unprecedented mandate during Parliament as well as Assembly elections.
Turning sycophants of Mehbooba and towing the line of the separatists, the BJP Ministers had ruthlessly dented Dogra pride and honour”, anguished Harsh said.
Hailing the Bar Council Of India (BCI) for defending CBI probe into Rassana case,  Harsh divulged that in the advent of one more officer associated with CB probe into Rassana case having been found to be tainted and suspended in the past for his alleged dubious role, the justification for the peoples demand for CBI probe gets further strengthened.
He said that with integrity of the two officers constituting the probe team being suspicious, the findings of such a committee surely become questionable. He sought the handing over of the said probe to CBI in consonance with the public sentiment in the region.
Seeking capital punishment to those actually involved in the heinous offence,  Balwant Singh Mankotia and Yashpal Kundal said that Panthers Party would continue its CBI probe campaign in its pursuit for justice to the Rassana murder victim and for bringing to fore the conspirators and perpetrators of the barbaric crime. The matter would be agitated at the national level in New Delhi as well, they said.
