Pandoka Colony facing water crisis

JAMMU, Dec 28: The inhabitants of Sector 3 and 4 Pandoka Colony, Paloura have expressed grave concern over the prevailing water crisis in the area.
The residents of the area said that the water supply in the area has remained totally disturbed for last some time as there is no one from the Department available to open the valves though water is available in plenty.
The residents said that when they approached the PHE officers and sought the settlement of the issue they were told the problem has occurred due to strike by daily wagers and no employee is available with the Department to open the Valves.
The residents said that a cluster of 15 houses are worst sufferers in the area as the Department has repeatedly shown apathy and neglect.
The residents in an appeal to Chief Engineer, PHE sought his immediate intervention in the matter and urged him to depute a team of officers to the locality to take stock of the problem faced by the people due to water scarcity.
