JAMMU, Mar 21: Working President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today met with senior party colleagues of the Jammu Province and discussed political scenario obtaining in the State.
Mr Abdullah also discussed the issues pertaining to functioning of the party at district and block levels. He also sought latest status of membership drive across the region and discussed impending party elections at various levels.
The upcoming elections to Urban Local Bodies also came under threadbare discussions during one-hour long meeting.
The party functionaries and senior leaders apprised the Working President about party affairs in detail.
Those present in the meeting included former ministers and senior leaders Mohammed Shaffi and Mian Altaf Ahmed besides Provincial President Devender Singh Rana besides Sr State Vice President Surjeet Singh Slathia, former Minister Ajay Sadhotra and Babu Ram Pal, State Vice Presidents Rattan Lal Gupta and Th Kashmira Singh, State Secretary Th Rachpal Singh, Provincial Secretary, Sheikh Bashir Provincial YNC President Ajaz Jan, former MLA Qazi Jalal-ud-Din, Provincial Vice Presidents Jugal Mahajan and Ch Haroon and District President Jammu Urban Dharamveer Singh Jamwal.
