LEH, May 23: The Union Territory administration of Ladakh today ordered replacement of organizational name `J&K Police’ from all records with `Ladakh Police’.
An order to this effect has been issued by Head of Police, UT-Ladakh, Police Headqu-arters SS Khandare, Inspector General of Police.
“The organizational name “J&K Police” written on any sign board, police vehicles, letter heads, official stationeries, seals and other official items of UT Police Ladakh should be replaced by `Ladakh Police’,” Khandare said.
He also ordered that no police officers/official will put on President Police Collar insignia of J&K Police on uniform.
