NNK’s Dogri Play ‘Urubhangam’ invited to Rajasthan

JAMMU, Mar 4: Natraj Natya Kunj’s (NNK’s) acclaimed Dogri play ‘Urubhangam’ has been invited to Bikaner Theatre Festival in Rajasthan.
Bikaner Theatre Festival is being organized by Anurag Kala Kendra—one of the leading theatre groups of Rajasthan which will commence from March 4 with a participation of 25 teams from different States of India.
A handout stated that film actors and directors will also be part of this mega event.
Play ‘Urubhangam—The Shattered Thigh’ is originally written by Mahakavi Bhaas, adapted in Dogri by Kumar A ‘Bharti’ and Design & Directed by National Sangeet Natak Akademi Yuva Bismillah Khan awardee Abhishek Bharti & Aaditya Bharti.
Written in second or third century AD, the play has been inspired by the description of the last war between Bheem Sen and Duryodhana, in the great Indian epic Mahabharata.
A team of 15 artists is leaving for Rajasthan to present the play on March 6 at Railway Auditorium, Bikaner.
The team includes Abhishek Bharti, Mukesh Bakshi, Akshay Razdan, Kanav Sharma, Aaditya Bharti, Niharika Sakshi, Priya Sharma, Hema Shivgotra and Anshika Sharma, Karan Mehra, Lalit Sharma, Abhishek Sharma, Shammi Dhamir, Tejan Bharti and Amandeep Sharma.
