KARGIL, Apr 3: Many organizations have come forward in Kargil to help the administration in testing times to combat COVID-19, and are contributing morally, in kind and as well as in the form of donation.
‘Dream for a Change’, a Non Profitable Organization (NGO) run by Shah Nawaz Var, Fayaz Hussain Munshi and Mumtaz Ahmad, are distributing sanitizers and masks for Security Officers, Municipal Staff and Health Workers.
The organization has distributed more than 10,000 masks and sanitizers so far.
The NGO had begun distributing these essential items from March 21, 2020 and on 29th March their stock finished But in this fight with Covid-19 there was shortage of masks in whole market as well as in Hospitals, which finally resulted them to take the decision to make masks locally in Kargil for free distribution.
Shanawaz Var, Founder of the Organization said that Mumtaz proposed the idea which they accepted and gave the task to Carry Bag Manufacturing Company in Kargil and assisted it to do the job in a befitting manner.
Shahnawz said they have distributed these masks among police personnel, ITBP personnel, Medical staff, Municipal officials, Safai Karamcharis and other Govt officials performing duties in crisis.
He further added that now Kargil will not face shortage of masks in coming days as they are planning to manufacture 10,000 more masks in coming days.
