Leh Admn continues distribution of essential commodities

LEH, Apr 3: On the 10th day of nationwide lockdown, the District Administration Leh is continuously working towards the DM Leh Sachin Kumar’s direction of ‘No one should sleep empty stomach’ by providing door to door delivery of essential commodities and free distribution of food items to the migrant labourers and daily wagers in the entire district, here.
In areas around Leh town, 1723 labourers at Sankar, Thiksay, Nimoo, Basgo, Saboo, Ney, Taroo and Nang villages were given free ration of rice, pulses and edible oil.
Similarly, as per direction of the District Magistrate Leh, SDM Nubra Sonam Norboo distributed free ration to 50 migrant labourers in Sumoor village of Nubra valley.
SDM Khaltse Tsering Motup distributed 257 kilograms rice, 110 kilograms pulses and 55 litres of cooking oil among 110 labourers at Khaltse today.
