NC Minority Cell appeals migrants to vote for party

JAMMU June 18: Making passionate appeal to the migrant electors of Anantnag Assembly Constituency to use their democratic right with utmost care in the upcoming by-polls, National Conference (NC) Minority Cell today said that every vote to the party candidate will be support to secular politics and political stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
“National Conference is the only party that can steer the State from present morass to peace, progress and prosperity of all”, senior Minority Cell leaders said while addressing workers at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan this morning.
Former MLC and Political Advisor to the party president,  Vijay Bakaya presided over the meeting that discussed, interalia, upcoming bye-polls to Anantnag Constituency and difficulties being faced by camp and non-camp migrants.
The Minority Cell leaders said that while National Conference has all along taken every possible step to ensure basic minimum facilities to the migrants, especially in Jagti township and other dwelling place, the present coalition of PDP-BJP has turned blind eye towards utility services like power, drinking water and rations. They referred to the erratic power and water supply in Jagti township and cautioned administration not to test the patience of dwellers and ensure regulated supplies, especially during the current scorching summer spell.
The Minority Cell leaders also recalled the hardships faced by the relief holders who were denied rations for several months. The Minority Cell leaders hoped that the migrant voters will come out in large numbers and cast their votes in favour of National Conference candidate.
Those present on the occasion included Minority Cell President  M K Yogi, Rattan Lal Gupta, Abdul Gani Malik, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad,  Bal Krishan Bhat, Ramesh Bharti,  Ashok Kumar Bhat, Kumar Ji, Roshan Lal Bhat,  Behari Lal, Jitten Bhat,  Geeta Ji,  Ashok Koul, and R.N. Fotedar.
