KATHUA, June 18: A police Head Constable Subash Chander with Belt No 461 died after he was hit by a tralla bearing number PV06L -2585 on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway at Chadwal today.
The driver of tralla fled after the accident while the tralla was seized by police. The Rajbagh Police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law. The dead body of Head Constable was handed over to family members for cremation after postmortem.
In another accident a lady was seriously injured after the motor cycle on which she was coming along with her husband from Jammu was hit by a unknown vehicle at Rajbagh today.
The vehicle fled after the accident. The injured lady was identified as Sudesh Kumari wife of Om Parkash of Shahpur Kandi Punjab. The duo was on way to Punjab from Jammu when accident took place. She was taken to District Hospital Kathua for treatment where seeing her condition critical doctors amputated her leg to save her life. Rajbagh Police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law.
