JAMMU, June 18: Former Minister and senior National Conference (NC) leader, Ajay Sadhotra, today said that PDP-BJP has totally failed to deliver and people of Jammu are feeling sense of neglect and misgovernance.
Condemning sacrilege acts at Roop Nagar and Nanak Nagar temples, Sadhotra alleged that the ruling alliance is creating situation to cover up their failures and divert the attention of the common masses. He said that the PDP-BJP has hatched a conspiracy to vitiate peaceful atmosphere of Jammu.
The NC leader said that people of Jammu believed in secularism and they have always strengthened brotherhood. “It is unfortunate that instead of giving good governance and solving the problems of the common people, PDP-BJP Government has resorted to creating hatred among the different communities”, he said and asked the people not to be misled by the nefarious designs of the PDP-BJP and maintain cool, calm and communal brotherhood and frustrate its evil designs.
Sadhotra said National Conference believes in secularism and when the State was burning, Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah gave a slogan “Sher-e-Kashmir ka kya Irshad, Hindu Muslim Sikh Ithad”. At present situation, the slogan of National Conference leader is relevant and we should ensure to keep cool and calm.
The former Minister was talking to a delegation of senior citizens who had called him to express their serious concern and anguish over the sacrilege acts in temples at Roop Nagar and Nanak Nagar in Jammu.
Appreciating the concern of delegation, Sadhotra assured them that National Conference shall stand with the people of Jammu to strengthen and maintain peace and traditional communal harmony.
