National Arnis seminar opens in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, June 29: National Arnis Seminar opened Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, here yesterday.
The Week-long National Arnis Seminar is being organized by Arnis India Federation in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council.
Dr Abdel Naser Jarrar, Vice-President Asian Arnis Federation and President Jordan Arnis Federation presided over the Seminar.
Arnis Martial Art is the Philippines Martial Art recognized by Philippines Government, Philippines Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia.
The dignitaries present on the opening function were Jawaid Ahmad Shah, Director Ruler Development Department; Mehmood Shah, Director Tourism Kashmir; Dr SM Bali, Joint Secretary Indian Olympic Association; Nazir Ahmad, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council; Prof Bashir Ahmad, Member J&K State Sports Council, Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council; Nuzhat Ara, Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir; Nusrat Gazala, Sports Officer Central; Shabir Ahmad, Assistant Director Youth Services and Sport’s, Sheikh Tulal, Manager Gindun Stadium, Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar, Manager Indoor Sports Complex Srinagar; Syed Nisar Hussain Gillani, President J&K Thang-Ta Association; Shujat Chashoo, Ex-Deputy Mayor Srinagar; Gowhar Khan, Martial Arts Representative; Mohammad Ghalib Tongue, Event Administrator.
Famous Bollywood Star, Imran Khan was also present on the function.
