JAMMU, June 29: In a suit filed by Suresh Gupta, President and Sanjay Sharma, Treasurer of J&K Bank Officers Association, Sub-Registrar Jammu Swati Gupta has restrained the non-applicants/defendants from convening any meeting.
In the suit, a prayer was made for issuance of directions to non applicants/defendants for not creating a parallel body of Jammu and Kashmir Officers Association without any authority and Sunil Bhau from acting as Incharge General Secretary, Jammu Kashmir Bank Officers Association.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma with Advocate Vikas Sharma appearing for the plantiff, Sub-Registrar observed, “this court has gone through the material annexed in support of the plaint. At this stage, it appears that plaintiffs/applicants have been able to make out a prima facie case in their favour and balance of convenience also tilts in their favour”.
“In case interim injunction as prayed for, is not granted at this stage, in that eventuality plaintiffs/ applicants are likely to suffer irreparable loss and injury which cannot be compensated later on”, the court said and ordered that the defendants shall not convene any meeting parallel to that of the plaintiff association, which is without authority under law, till the next date of hearing.
