JAMMU, Nov 5: Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler along with large quantity of intoxicant capsules from Aquaf Market area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Gandhi Nagar police station intercepted a person near Aquaf Market on suspicious basis.
During frisking, police recovered 113 intoxicant injections and arrested the narcotic smuggler, who has been identified as Anirudh Dubey, son of Kuldeep Kumar Dubey, a resident of Gandhi Nagar.
A case under FIR number 244/14 under Section 8/20/21 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Paramjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
