Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE), which is the exam conducting agency, immediately took the decision to cancel the entrance exam and re-conduct the same on June 23, 2026.
“As soon as the matter of data mismatch in the answer sheets came to light, we immediately ordered cancellation of the entrance exam, which shall be now re-conducted on June 23,” said Minu Mahajan, Chairperson of BOPEE.

Pertinent to mention that OMR answer sheets in the entrance exam were student specific and distributed among the candidates 15 minutes prior to sharing of question paper and commencement of the exam.
However, as soon as the answer sheets were distributed, large scale mismatch was detected in printing of signature and photographs of the candidates. This data jumbling in the printing of answer sheets forced BOPEE to immediately order cancellation of the entrance exam even as the question paper was yet to be distributed among the candidates.
Total 468 candidates were appearing in the entrance exam for which BOPEE had established two centres; one at GGM Science College Jammu and the other at SP College, Srinagar. Data mismatch in the answer sheets was detected in both the centres.
