RAJOURI, Nov 5: Maintaining that the voice of Pir Panchal would be the voice of Jammu and Kashmir State in the coming Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State vice president Advocate Vibodh Gupta said that the twin border districts—Rajouri and Poonch of Pir Panchal range are the most neglected areas in the State as no previous leadership has worked in bridging the gap between the people and the State or Central governments.
Vibodh while speaking in a function, which was organized in Sunderbani tehsil for celebrating the announcement of mandate to Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State President Ravinder Raina from Nowshera, blamed both the regional parties NC, PDP etc and national Party Congress for dividing the people in the Pir Panchal range between Paharis, Gujjars, Bakerwals etc to satisfy their lust for power.
Highlighting the policies of the Party, Vibodh said, “BJP does not believe in appeasing and divisive politics which was reflected in its recent announcements of tickets which were not based on any cast, community and religion.
The only criterion that was adopted in the distribution of the tickets was the clean image and ground work of the candidate to make the Mission 44+ a success, he added.
By awarding tickets to the candidates from all the communities of twin border districts, the BJP has given a strong message that it believes in development and maintaining brotherhood among all the regions and religions, Vibodh said and added that in Pir Panchal region BJP has nothing to lose but everything to gain in the Assembly elections.
Expressing gratitude for bestowing ticket to fight Assembly elections for the first time, Ravinder Raina said that the border Constituency of Nowshera-Sunderbani has suffered a lot in last more than 50 years and the people are still striving hard for food, electricity, water and other basic amenities.
Castigating the local MLA for remaining absent from the Constituency for last more than five years and keeping the poor and helpless people at the mercy of God, Raina warned against the negligent attitude and step motherly treatment of these leaders with the constituency.
