JAMMU, June 5: Former Minister and president, DCC Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today lambasted BJP for politicizing the current situation in the country and the region. He said BJP is only working for fulfilling of its political agenda and has to do nothing with the present state of people in J&K.
While giving examples Manohar said when the whole country is hit worst by COVID- 19 pandemic BJP is busy in strengthening their organization by announcing various committees which further reflects their callous and non-serious attitude towards the common masses. He said that recent order for privatization of power sector and further imposing of taxes of various kinds has burdened the common people especially the transport sector. He said previously also BJP took benefit of impositions in the region for announcing such decisions as they are also aware that their draconian laws and decisions are not in interest of people and so that people don’t protest and come on streets they always took advantage of such hard times.
Establishment of toll plazas at Thandi Khui, Lakhanpur, weak domicile law, privatization of Power Sector, J&K Bank recruitment fraud, and latest levy of additional tax on vehicle owners and transporters are examples of betrayal with common masses by BJP which people should never forget.
Manohar said people of Jammu gave heavy mandate to BJP from the region but in return BJP leadership has been taking people for Jammu for granted and that’s why it is announcing such anti people, anti-employee laws. In coming times nation loving people of J&K will teach BJP a lesson for their misdeeds with the masses of J&K, he added.
He said economy of country is all time low and price of essential commodities are sky high, prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas are regularly increasing despite fall in prices of crude oil. He further advised BJP leadership to admit its mistakes in running the county and stop publishing manipulated figures and data to the country and further said GoI’s poor administrative skills, zero attention span for details, and preference for oratory over governance spell disaster for this crisis.
