JAMMU, Sept 8: Bishnah Police arrested a man and recovered 14 litres of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka near village Dhinday Khurd and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 14 litres of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Jatinder Kumar, son of Munshi Ram of Dhinday Khurd Tehsil Bishnah.
A case under FIR Number 169/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu Romesh Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
