Legislators can utilise CDF for clearing liabilities: J&K Minister

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan on Friday said that Government had issued an order authorising the legislators to utilise an amount of Rs 20 lakh out of their Constituency Development Funds (CDF) for clearing the past liability of BPL houses on IAY pattern during the current financial year.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, the Minister said by virtue of the Government Order, if there is no liability on account of IAY exists, the legislators can channelise the CDF funds with the maximum ceiling of Rs. 20 lakh from the financial year 2017-18 as per the latest rules and laid down guidelines of the scheme.
