JAMMU, Dec 8: Akhnoor Police recovered a lady along with her minor daughter from Maharashtra and arrested the abductor.
As per police sources, on June 27 this year, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station by father of a kidnapped minor girl that his daughter and wife had gone missing since June 19, 2021.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 167/2021 under Sections 363 and 366 IPC was registered at Police station Akhnoor and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar and assisted by PSI Karnail Singh Parihar was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial.
The team connected various leads and after hectic efforts and with the support of technical assistance finally recovered the kidnapped minor girl and her mother from Maharashtra and also arrested the abductor, who was identified as Mankirpal Singh, son of Gurdial Singh of Begewal Amritsar, Punjab.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
