DC Jammu listens public grievances at Mathwar

JAMMU, Dec 8: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anshul Garg today held a public Darbar at Block Mathwar to listen and address public grievances and issues of the Panchayats of the Block.
ADC Jammu, Satish Sharma; ACR, Vijay Sharma; ACD, Ashok Choudhary; DSWO, Ajay Salaan; SDM Jammu North, Pawan Kotwal; BDO Mathwar Angel Kotwal; besides, were present in the Public Darbar and officials of various Departments like PDD , PHE , PWD, Horticulture, Agriculture and School Education were also present during the program.
DDC member, Joginder Singh and Sarpanches of Panchayats of the block raised several issues of public importance and demanded improvement of roads, link roads, adequate water supply, and uninterrupted power supply to villages of the block.
The DDC member demanded the up-gradation of High School Mathwar to Higher Secondary and a Degree college for the area to facilitate the youth to pursue their education.
During the public darbar, locals also highlighted their grievances and sought adequate compensation of land acquired for the ring road project, clearance of liabilities and adequate jobs under MGNREGA, besides early tendering of proposed development works for the area.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers and officials to work in coordination to resolve public issues without any delay.
The Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon the senior functionaries of the concerned department to take immediate measures to mitigate the problems of the people highlighted during the public outreach programme. He also gave on the spot directions to the concerned departments for taking necessary steps to meet the genuine demands of the local people.
A large number of people, Sarpanches and Panchs were also present in the Public Darbar.
