KPC asks authorities to evict encroachers from migrant land

JAMMU, Sept 26: Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) has urged all district commissioners of Kashmir as well to Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir to initiate an appropriate action to evict unauthorised occupants, remove encroachments, trespassing and settle down the distress sale issues of displaced Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) at the earliest and ensure the strict implementation of Government directions for safeguarding their left over land and property as well as return of land , orchards etc to them for which they were struggling for decades together.
Kundan Kashmiri and Tej Pandita, president and vice president KPC respectively emphasized to all concerned DCs of Kashmir Valley to pursue each and every case of the displaced community in order to enable its safe retrieval in the Valley to their rightful owners under the recent guidelines issued by the Government and requested that none of the claims of these displaced K Ps be closed or disposed off on the mere hearing of land encroachers, trespassers and vested interests or on the simple report of concerned tehseldar or other revenue officers of the districts, without properly looking into the displaced KPs applicants presently residing outside the Valley.
Kundan Kashmir and M.K.Raina president and vice president of KPC urged that a mechanization should be set up by all Deputy Commissioners of the Valley with coordination of Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu and others to get the Government order properly implemented, and to give justice to displaced Kashmiri Pandits without any hurdle, inconveniences and excuses.
Dr. H L Saraf and Susheel Bhat KPC leaders appealed that land and property belonging to religious places, temples , cremation grounds and others be fully protected and encroachment as well as trespassing to be removed urgently and handed over to the concerned KP community people.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC also reminded to the Home Minister and Home Secretary of India about the Kashmiri migrant families based at Delhi, NCR and other places consisting of around twenty thousand families, who are in great distress and deprived of all the benefits and schemes at par with Kashmiri migrants based at Jammu region which include bifurcation, inclusion and deletion of names in their ration cards, implementation of Ayushman Bharat scheme and other facilities despite of their repeated requests to the concerned authorities.
