Koul discusses strategy for DDC polls

JAMMU, Nov 15: J&K BJP’s general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul held a meeting with JKUT Mahila Morcha (MM) office bearers led by its president Sanjita Dogra regarding the upcoming District Development Council (DDC) polls in districts and urged women party workers to focus on developmental issues.
State vice president and Prabhari Mahila Morcha, Anuradha Charak, Seh Prabhari, Veenu Khanna and general secretaries, Updesh Andotra, Neha Mahajan and Urvashi Gupta were also present.
Ashok Koul said that BJP worked tirelessly during the COVID-19 especially the women and this should be highlighted before the people during the campaign for DDC elections.
He added that the party workers distributed thousands of ration kits among the needy, laborers were provided financial support and gas cylinders were provided to poor families and many other workers.
“We have its results in Bihar elections and people in Jammu and Kashmir should also support the party for its development programmes and initiatives for peace and progress,” he said. The Bihar election results showed that the women voters enthusiastically participated in the festival of democracy, he added.
While referring to Gupkar Alliance leaders, Koul said despite negative propaganda by Gupkar Gang against BJP, the party is emerging stronger day by day.
“We are hopeful that people will support the change. They will say no to traditional and family politics,” he said.
Koul said initially they are the same people who were opposing the DDC elections and now they are day dreaming to gain support in the name of restoration of Article 370 and other issues.
Koul also urged the candidates that they should left no stone unturned for peace and development in the region. He added that youth of the country today know it very well that dynasty politics poses the biggest threat to democracy. BJP is the only national party in which poor, Dalits, deprived see their representation. Only BJP understands need of every section of the society, he added.
Koul asked that the Prabharis, Seh-Prabaharis, districts presidents present during the meeting to visit their respective districts as early as possible.
