JAMMU, Apr 5: A beggar from Kolkata, presently putting up at Bhour Kullian in Gadigarh area of Jammu was helped by police and hospital for treatment of his leg.
Reports said police teams of Gadigarh headed by Incharge Inspector Sohan Singh spotted beggar at an isolated place and provided with him food and eatables.
Later, they found that beggar identified as Mohammad Gatar, 40, had deep infection in his leg.
They shifted him to National Hospital Gadigarh where Dr Harmohinder Singh agreed to provide free of cost treatment to the beggar.
Dr Singh assured police that grafting surgery of labourer will be done on extreme compassionate and humanitarian grounds after lockdown.
