JTC, SKF discusse migrants problems

JAMMU, Jan 31: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held here today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC/SKF.
In the meeting various problems of Kashmiri Pandit migrants were discussed.
While speaking in the meeting Pandit demanded that 1000 posts of class IV under employment Package be got reserved for those displaced Pandit youth who could not continue their studies beyond Matric due to financial constraints.
He further said that under employment package for Kashmiri Pandit migrants youth at least one educated person from each registered migrant family need to be appointed and the remaining posts be filled up by eligible educated candidates to provide employment opportunities to the deserving youth and to extend the employment facilities to each and every migrant family.
Pandita demanded enhancement of cash assistance from 10000 to 25000/- per month per family.
He said that since the identity of Kashmiri Pandit community is vanishing as such demanded rehabilitation of the migrant Pandit community in Kashmir Valley by bringing up three satellite townships at one place in Kashmir near Srinagar city enabling the community to live peacefully and smoothly.
