JAMMU, Aug 17: A joint meeting of Congress Minority Cell (MC) and Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) was held at Jagti under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita co-convener Congress Minority Cell and president JTC.
The meting demanded rehabilitation of Pandits in Satellite townships in Valley, employment package for migrant youth, conducting of on spot recruitment drive in police and lump sum compensation to displaced youth for the losses suffered by them over the years.
While addressing the meeting Pandita said the constitution of PCC Minority Cell by the party will help in highlighting the day to day problems of the displaced Pandits who have been totally ignored by the Government. He appealed the community members not to fall in the trap of those parties who misled them for their self interest and later ignored them totally.
The meeting said that BJP Government at Delhi and PDP-BJP coalition in the State have totally failed in mitigating the sufferings of the migrants.
