JAMMU, June 3: Jammu Progressive Forum (JPF) organized a meeting at Gangyal with the labour community who are working in factories. In conversation with labour community Deepak Gupta president of the organization said that factory workers have boosted the industrial growth in Jammu and Kashmir, it should be the priority of Government to vaccinate the labour community. Deepak further said that more than 50000 workers are working in Jammu province in industrial areas who are not aware of the various SOPs of COVID-19 and the centers for vaccination which are developed and the procedure of booking slot is very unknown to them.
The Government must simplify the procedure for them and on the spot vaccination should be available for the labour community who are technologically backward. He also added special vaccination centers should be developed in Industrial areas.
Labour community leader Sunny Arora said that labour workers or factory workers work day and night to provide cheap and good products to the people of Jammu and Kashmir during this COVID crisis but still Government has not given any exclusive priority to the factory workers. Junaid Ahmed requested to provide speedy vaccination drives for the factory workers.
