JAMMU, Apr 26: A team of Food Safety Officers, Assistant Sanitation Officers, Sanitary Inspectors alongwith other field staff under the supervision of Dr Mohd Saleem Khan, Health Officer JMC today inspected various food establishments like Provisional Stores, Pan Houses etc. in the areas of Narwal, Channi Rama, B.C Road, Jewel, Hari Market, Mubark Mandi.
During the drive the team seized about 500 pouches of unclaimed gutka from B.C.Road & Jewel area. Moreover the team seized about 13 kgs of polythene carry bags and also realised a fine amounting to Rs. 6250 from the defaulters.
The Health Officer once again appealed to the Food Business operators and the Jammuites not to use polythene carry bags.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Staff headed by the Chief Enforcement Officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation, while further continuing and intensifying the drive vigorously against the unauthorized construction, violations and encroachments, today demolished the shutters and stairs raised by Ashwani Singh Charak son of Madan Singh resident of H. No 28, Karan Nagar.
The team also demolished the two number of ramps raised by Harbinder Singh at H. No 19-A, Karan Nagar and Manjeet Singh at H. No 38 Karan Nagar, Jammu.
Besides, the team of Enforcement Wing has removed the encroachments from the Indira Chowk, Jammu. The drive has been launched with the assistance of police force from District Police Lines, Jammu.
